You must remember to take your sample(s) in the morning, between 7-11am, before you have anything to eat . Also make sure you haven’t engaged in vigorous exercise the day before, and make sure you haven’t ejaculated for 48 hours before you take your sample.

. If you have symptoms that might be related to abnormal testosterone levels, we'd still recommend you contact your GP to discuss these, even if your results are normal. There may be other reasons for your symptoms which need to be explored.
Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA): we will be testing your PSA level. This can indicate the presence of prostate cancer if the level is raised. However, it is not specific to cancer - lots of other conditions (like infection, inflammation, or benign enlargement) can raise your PSA level. If your result comes back abnormal, you will need to speak to your GP, and either repeat the test or get referred to a urologist for further investigation.
The PSA test does have a small 'false negative' rate. This means sometimes the result will come back as normal but in fact there is prostate disease present. If you think you are at high risk of prostate cancer, or have symptoms you're worried about despite having a normal PSA, speak to your doctor.
Make sure you take your sample close to when you're able to post it (ideally the same day) . Significant delays between the time the sample was taken and analysis might mean the lab can't provide a result.
I confirm and agree that this test kit is for my personal use only. Our doctors will not disclose any results if the tests are made for a person other than the patient account holder.
The details on the test sample must match the details on the account. I understand that if they do not, our doctors reserve the right not to release the results to me. Please ensure your account name is as expected prior to taking and sending your sample.
I understand and agree that for the purpose of analysing my sample(s):the laboratory to which I will send the kit to will process my personal data including medical data the laboratory will retain a copy of the results as per its accreditation requirements
It’s important to bear in mind that test results can differ from one lab to another. They often use different analysers and methods to test for the same thing. This is why you cannot compare one result from one provider/lab to another. We take no responsibility in results received from other providers, and cannot comment on differences between results received from us and elsewhere.
